LISBONA: PLACE TO EAT!

LISBON: PLACE TO EAT!

Do you know when they tell you "I have to take you there"? Well, the second time in Lisbon began just like this. Climbs and descents, colors, music and that light that makes you feel exactly in the place you want to be before you even know it. Andrea (my life and travel partner) lived and studied in this wonderful city years ago and I had been there in 2014. We wanted to write new memories here where we had both left a piece of ourselves almost in the same period of a past life and, obviously, I wanted to know super typical and characteristic places where I could eat. Anyone who knows me knows that they often call me and write to me to find out where to eat wherever I've been, in Italy and abroad. Well, for once I wanted to be driven. After wearing out my sneakers and filling my phone's memory with photos of Azulejos (the typical tiles that cover many Portuguese buildings), I was where I would go back (to eat cod and more!).

Lisbon place to eat:

🔸 TASCARDOSO (small, romantic and right in the center)

🔸 TI-NÀTERCIA (cod is an institution here!)

🔸 Pasteis de Nata a Belèm (queue for the take away which goes by quite quickly, and eat the typical sweets filled with cream and love wherever you prefer outside the restaurant)

🔸Aperitif at LXFACTORY (I opted for sangria, bread and goat cheese)

🔸Great food and Smart working at COMOBA, there are many veg options

🔸 Everything good at O TACHADAS

🔸 RESTAURANTE PONTO FINAL (to eat with a view of Lisbon)

🔸 Unmissable Pão com chouriço A MERENDEIRA (spartan but super good, perfect for a complete and economical quick meal)

🔸 CASA DA INDÌA, traditional pocket in the center

🔸 LEBLON BEACH BAR (in summer) to dine or have an aperitif on the sea at sunset

The airport is one of the most convenient I know: you get off the plane, queue for a while to buy the ticket or the rechargeable ticket (I chose this one) and arrive in the center directly by metro. For this reason it is advisable to book a hotel or apartment near the stops. Temperatures during the day can vary greatly: mothers' advice to dress "like an onion" is of vital importance! If you want to go to the Azores, Rayanair finally flies from Lisbon to São Miguel (from there you can then travel with internal flights or boats).
